Family Self-Sufficiency
FSS is a program designed to assist Section 8 participants and Public Housing residents by connecting them to services and resources within the community.
The FSS staff will assist participants in developing the skills and self-confidence needed to become self-sufficient. Resources are available to provide assistance in the following areas:
Financial Literacy:
- Financial Counseling
- Credit Repair
- Banking & Money Management
Adult Education:
- Literacy Training
- High School Diploma/GED Preparation
- Basic Education
Job Training & Skills:
- Resume Writing
- Interviewing Techniques
- Computer Training
- Resources to Meet Challenges
- Soft Skills Training
Healthcare Coordination:
- Affordable Care Act Referrals
- Applying for Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security
- Health Information & Service Coordination
Senior Services:
- Meal Services
- Assistance with Activities of Daily Living
- Disability Service Coordination
- Social Worker, Health Coach, and Nurse Referral
